3/17/22: Reading and Hangout at Hobart and William Smith College

It’s been a super quiet time here in Rochester – lots of small changes, not a lot of posting. Having said that, I am sooooo delighted to be reading (IN PERSON!!! EEEE! (and still masked)) as part of the Trias series at HWS on Thursday! In the pandemic, interactions can be few and far between, and I’m so looking forward to reading, talking writing and life with the awesome student in Professor Kathryn Cowles’s class and reading later in the day. Eeeeee!

Post-script: what an amazing time hanging out with the students, doing the reading, a wonderful Q&A, and a delightful dinner afterwards. Thanks again to Kathryn, Geoff, and also to Elizabeth Willis for hosting dinner at her (at present) home.

HWS made a video of the entire event – I’m gobstruck at Kathryn’s sweet smart intro. I’m reading from both Two Californias and The Asterisms, so it feels nice to combine them.

3/3/20: AWP Engagements

Sadly we’re not going to go. No interest in being a potential vector, or infecting my parents, whom I’ll see next week. If you go: please check out the C&R Booth 1535, where you can purchase Two Californias or other C&R Books, and attend the readings below!

Coffee Talk in the AWP Book Fair, Thursday, March 5: 10:30-11:30AM: Find me at the C&R Booth 1535, where I’ll be signing books. More broadly, please come by at any time to check out all C&R’s great great books, including Two Californias

2/6/20: Two Californias Release Party, Part Two

Super pleased to be teaming up with Rochester’s great Writers & Books for a second release party for Two Californias. The reading (snacks, pineapple erasers, etc.) will be in conjunction with a workshop that Saturday on exploring the flat spots in story. Let’s hope for good weather!
