3/6/26: Zombies, Pittsburgh, NeMLA

While most everyone else will be in Baltimore at AWP, I’ll be hanging out in Pittsburgh, where I’ll be doing one of my first presentations of my novel-in-progress, The Stills, at the Northeast Modern Language Association conference. I’m very much excited for this panel, entitled “Autotheoretical Practice: Writing in the Anthropocene,” and grateful to Ciara Keogh for putting it all together. For those of you at NeMLA, the panel will be on Friday at 10:15AM – it would be great to see you there!

As you might know, Pittsburgh is Romero country, and so we’ll be doing some research as well – first to the Monroeville Mall, where Dawn of the Dead was filmed, and then to Evans City, where Night of the Living Dead was filmed. Happy daze!!!

And on Saturday from 11:30-12:30, I’ll be doing signings of my first book, Two Californias, at City Books (https://citybookspgh.com/), with writer Francisco Delgado (thanks, Francisco, for organizing this!) – come on by!
